MINNEAPOLIS — July 5, 2007 -- Digital River, Inc. (NASDAQ:DRIV), a leading provider of global e-commerce solutions, recently announced the winners of its 2007 ICE Awards for Internet Commerce Excellence. Digital River presented awards to client companies putting e-commerce best practices to work to optimize and drive revenue through their online stores.
Clients were recognized in seven categories, including “Best Performance by an Online Retailer,” “Best International E-Commerce Strategy,” “Best Strategic E-Marketing Performance,” “Best Performing Third-Party Promotion,” “Best Product Launch,” “Rookie-of-the-Year” and “Highest Online Sales Growth.” Among the winning clients were BestBuy.com, PCWorld.com, Nuance Communications International, Sonic Solutions, Uniblue Systems Ltd., Smith Micro Software, Inc., GEAR Software, Inc., Trend Micro Incorporated, Nuance Communications, Inc., CyberLink Corp. and others.
“Our ICE Awards winners implemented the latest e-commerce tactics, campaigns and tools to energize and expand their online businesses,” said Joel Ronning, Digital River’s CEO. “This year, our clients were more diligent than ever about optimizing their online sales using precise, disciplined and analytical methods and strategies. By combining these strategies with Digital River’s e-commerce and e-marketing best practices, our clients generated some amazing results, clearly demonstrating why they are being recognized as our 2007 ICE Awards winners.”
More than half of the award recipients submitted entries, which summarized the e-commerce best practice campaigns they implemented and the results they generated, and were subsequently chosen as winners by a judging panel. Other ICE Awards winners were selected based on a data analysis of the financial results generated through their online stores.
“We are always excited and enthusiastic about trying new programs and improving existing ones – all in an effort to find the optimal solution for successful online selling,” said Gordon Penza, online partner manager for Uniblue Systems. “By leveraging a wide variety of Digital River’s best practices, programs and strategies, we were able to drive the overall success of our site and sales. We optimized our shopping cart with Digital River’s help to decrease the cart abandonment rate and grew our already strong affiliate program by more than 50 percent. We also launched new strategic third-party promotions, which generated a more than 400 percent increase in sales. Working with Digital River helps Uniblue remain a competitive and dynamic company.” Uniblue Systems Ltd is a publisher at the forefront of software utility technology in the fields of system performance, security and data protection.
