What is my order status?

What is the Extended Download Service (EDS)?
The EDS service was discontinued on September 25, 2022, from the HeR Interactive, Inc store. This was a paid service, provided by Digital River, that would allow the fans to redownload their purchased games for a limited time of five years from the date of purchase. We would rather encourage our fans to back up their purchases themselves free of additional fees. When you place an order via our website, our store provider, Digital River, allows 30 days to download your purchase. We highly recommend backing up your Nancy Drew games as we know our fans like to replay their favorite games.

We also know computers crash and backing up the files you value is a necessity. Here is some basic information for backing up your purchase:

Once your game/guide has downloaded successfully, you can back up the downloaded file(s) to a DVD, flash drive, or other external media so that you will be able to reinstall the game or use your guide again in the future without having to re-download.

Here are instructions for backing up your files:

  1. Plug your flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
  2. A small window may pop up and give you options for your flash drive, and you may hear a small sound to let you know the flash drive has mounted. If this happens, you can choose “Open folder to view files” (this is called "Autoplay"). If it doesn't, you can find your flash drive icon listed in “My Computer”.
  3. Next, navigate to the downloaded game installation file(s) that you want to place on your flash drive (for newer games with more than one file, back-up all of the downloaded files associated with each). Right click on it and choose “Send To” and then choose your flash drive in the list.
  4. Wait until the file copies completely to the flash drive before removing the drive from your USB port.

You can also install your game directly to the external hard drive:

  1. Run the Setup application file.
  2. Accept the license agreement and click next.
  3. Select “Browse…” and navigate to your external hard drive. Click OK.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Click Install.

Please note that since the game has been installed to an external hard drive, you will need to always have the external drive plugged in when playing the game.

Do not unplug the drive while playing the game.

If you choose not to create a desktop shortcut, you will need to launch the game from the application file you installed to your external hard drive.

What payment methods can I use?
We accept Visa®, MasterCard®, EuroCard, Discover®, American Express®, Diner’s Club®, and JCB, as well as check cards and ATM cards if they are issued by one of these major credit card companies. We also accept checks, money orders, and wire transfers. If you choose to pay by check, money order, or wire transfer, you will receive instructions on how to send your payment once you submit your order.

Our servers encrypt all information submitted to them, so you can be confident that your credit card information will be kept safe and secure.

Should I use spaces or dashes when I enter my credit card number?
No. Enter your credit card number without any spaces or special characters. It should be entered as a continuous string of numbers.

Does my billing address have to match the address on file with my credit card?
Yes. For credit card verification you must enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement.

Why is my credit card being rejected?
There are many possible reasons for a credit card not being accepted:
  • The card is expired.
  • You have reached or exceeded your credit limit.
  • You have exceeded your daily charge limit.
  • A computer at either end of the transaction is having technical problems.

If you have problems submitting your credit card payment you can contact Customer Service for help. When you contact Customer Service you may be asked for any error message numbers you received, as well as the reference number seen in the shopping cart.

When will my credit card be charged?
For purchases of downloaded products, your credit card will be charged the day after your order is placed.

For purchases of physical products, you won't be billed until yourproduct is shipped. This includes any preordered or backordered products.If your items are shipped separately you will be billed each timea product is shipped.

How will the charge show up on my credit card?
The charge for your order will appear on your credit card as: "DRI*Her Interactive"

Can I order without a credit card?
Yes. In addition to credit cards we accept checks, money orders and wire transfers. If you choose to pay by check, money order, or wire transfer, you will receive instructions on how to send your payment once you submit your order.

Do I have to pay sales tax?
Depending on the order, sales tax may be calculated and charged. Any sales tax charged will be indicated once your billing and/or shipping address have been entered during checkout.

Pursuant to the Digital VAT Directive, European Union (EU) customers will be charged a 15% value-added tax (VAT) on all downloaded digital products and services including software. A national VAT rate will be applied on physical goods for customers based in EU countries. This VAT may not be shown as a separate charge during checkout and may instead be included in the product price (VAT inclusive pricing).

Tax-exempt individuals and entities can request a refund of the tax paid on an order. We will need a copy of your tax-exempt certificate and the billing or shipping address on the order must match the address on the certificate. Please include your order number or a copy of your receipt or invoice. You can fax a copy of your certificate, with order number or invoice to 952-253-8760.

How do I start a new order?
