Digital River Announces Call for Entries for its 2007 ICE Awards
Recognizes clients for Internet Commerce Excellence
MINNEAPOLIS, March 26, 2007 — Digital River, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRIV), a global leader in e-commerce outsourcing, today announced a call for entries for its 2007 ICE AwardsSM – an acronym for Internet Commerce Excellence. The awards recognize Digital River clients that are putting its e-commerce best practices to work in creative new ways to attract customers, build loyalty and drive revenues and efficiencies through their online stores. Digital River’s ICE Awards will be presented to clients at the company’s Spring Global Network Sales Summits, which are being held in Palm Springs, Calif., and Rome, Italy.
“The ICE Awards are designed to recognize our clients for their efforts in raising the bar of excellence in global online marketing and sales,” said Joel Ronning, Digital River’s CEO. “Our clients continue to launch increasingly sophisticated online programs and marketing campaigns while integrating deeper with alternative online sales channels. These companies are leveraging Digital River’s e-commerce best practices and using creative, analytics-based methods to generate more revenue, open new online sales channels and turn one-time buyers into lifelong customers – and we want to commend their efforts.”
Digital River clients, ranging in size from small businesses to large enterprises, are eligible for the ICE Awards. Clients are automatically eligible for Rookie-of-the-Year and Highest Online Sales Growth. In addition, clients can complete and submit ICE Awards nomination forms for Best Product Launch, Best Performing Third-Party Promotion, Best International E-Commerce Strategy, Best Performance by an Online Retailer and Best Strategic E-Marketing Performance.
“As one of the 2006 ICE Awards winners, we were recognized by Digital River and our peers for the great results we generated by selling through multiple online channels,” said Johan Malmberg, vice president, product development and strategy of Uniblue. “By leveraging some of the programs and channels available through Digital River, including, its direct, retail and affiliate channels, we implemented marketing campaigns on try-before-you-buy versions of our software and experienced conversion rates as high as 26 percent, a tremendous result for our company.”
