Digital River Expands Network Sales Summit for Software Publishers into Global Markets
COLOGNE, Germany & MINNEAPOLIS, August 16, 2005-Digital River, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRIV), a global leader in e-commerce outsourcing, today announced its U.S. and European operations are combining efforts to expand its Network Sales Summit for software publishers. At Digital River’s new Global Network Sales Summit clients can build joint sales and marketing partnerships with publishers from around the world as well as attend education sessions on the latest e-commerce trends. Software publishers from Eastern and Western Europe, Scandinavia, India, South Korea, and the United States plan to attend the company’s upcoming Global Network Sales Summit at the Sheraton Algarve Hotel at Pine Cliffs Resort in Portugal from September 27 to 29, 2005.
Throughout the conference, Digital River's clients will have a chance to discuss sales and marketing partnerships with other clients during pre-scheduled meetings. Based on these partnerships, software publishers agree to market and sell each other’s products to their respective customer bases in exchange for a shared revenue arrangement.

During an evening event at the Fall Summit, Digital River also will present its ICE (Internet Commerce Excellence) Awards to honor its clients' outstanding achievements and successes in building and growing their online businesses. The ICE Awards recognize Digital River clients who implement creative new e-commerce strategies to attract customers, build loyalty and generate online sales.
