** Bilingual Coordinator-Interpreter/Translator **

DESCRIPTION

Capcom is looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to provide effective support for the sales, marketing, and Public Relations as a Bilingual Coordinator-translator/interpreter. This person will provide support by translating documents, communications, plans and special reports from Japanese to English and English to Japanese. Maintains schedules and work orders for localization of the collateral materials such as packaging, manuals, sell sheets, advertisements, promotions, posters catalogues, etc., as received from Capcom Japan and will serve as an integral member of the organization.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate (J->E/E->J) feature docs and materials for marketing.
• Translate special reports from English to Japanese, Japanese to English for Parent Company's Executive staff
• Translate English to Japanese, Japanese to English in video conferences
• Support special requests from Management.
• Provide US with translation of Japan market studies.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in both English and Japanese fluently.
• Video gaming experience preferred. Experience in consumer electronic toy or related industry a plus.
• Requires excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
• Excellent proof reading and editing skills. Proven experience in translating documents from Japanese to English and vice-versa.
• Must have passed Japanese Comprehension Test Level 2 or Level 1 to be considered for this position or have similar skill level in reading and writing comprehension in Japanese.
• Knowledge of game play terminology preferred.
• Travel will be a requirement for this position, both domestic and internationally.
• Ability to handle multiple projects at a time essential.
• Experience with marketing programs a plus.A demonstrated ability to work independently and be self directed when necessary as well as the ability to work and accomplish goals in a team environment.
